3M™ Solar Acrylic Foam Tape 2155 features a general purpose adhesive on both sides of a firm foam carrier. It offers good adhesion on a broad range of substrates and has the added feature of high temperature resistance.
For over 30 years many industries worldwide have been using 3M Acrylic Foam Tape technology to replace liquid adhesives and mechanical fasteners in permanent bonding and sealing applications. The acrylic-based chemistry allows its use in critical applications that demand durability in a variety of markets including Automotive, Electronics, Signage, Glazing and Construction. 3M Acrylic Foam Tapes consist of 100% acrylic adhesive. Due to its viscosity the adhesive can flow into the surface and conforms to irregularities of substrates. It does not harden over time, but remains flexible. This viscoelasticity also gives the foam energy absorbing and stress relaxing properties. 3M Solar Acrylic Foam Tapes provide immediate holding strength with no cure time and can be custom die-cut into virtually any shape.
